Khadi means handspun and handwoven cloth. In 1918 Mahatma Gandhi started his movement for Khadi as relief programme for the poor masses living in India's villages.
khadi is not a texture or a look. It's the process in which a natural fiber like cotton, silk or wool is hand pun& hand woven into a fabric.We have a wide range of khadi verities like khadi.
Some verities of khadi do shrink. As cotton fiber tends to shrink. So it's always good to buy garments made of pre shrunk khadi or avoid buying clothes that fit you like a glove if they are made of unshrunk khadi.

Also, not every khadi bleed. but if they are very bright in color or they are fabric level dyed, it's good to apply few drops of water& rub it with your finger to check if they bleed.
